Proof of Life

No, we’re not going to Weekend at Bernie’s it up in here and have my wife stage a photo of me in a hospital bed with a recent newspaper in hand, puppeting me so that I’m smiling for the camera. That’d be too easy. At Electric Fencer, we like doing things the hard way. Like actually taking time out of our hectic schedules to write an update once every few months.

The comic’s been posting again for the last few weeks and is taking a brief detour to look at what’s happening with some other characters in the story. To those of you out in the audience reading, I hope you’re enjoying it so far! We’ve seen six new pages go up since the comic came back and we still have quite a bit in the chamber ready to go, as well as story content being worked on. The art style is pretty inconsistent this time around due to me experimenting with new coloring and shading styles in between pages. I’m looking at getting some help with future pages, so if you’re reading this and you know of someone who might want to lend their skills to a small webcomic, feel free to send them my way. It’d be a paid gig and we can work out the details once we’ve established communication.

We do have one brief character profile to add to the site. It’s the mysterious hooded man from a few pages ago: Janvier. Though he hasn’t been given an introductory caption, if he’s made it to the Profiles page, he’s bound to make a formal introduction sooner or later.

Finding the time to update is getting weirdly difficult. Maybe I should consider hiring some help with that too?
